Should piracy be severely restricted by law?

Questions:

What is piracy?

Why are so many people like to use pirated software?

The definition of piracy is the unauthorized use of material, in a manner that violates one of the copyright owner's exclusive rights, such as the right to reproduce or perform the copyrighted work, or to make derivative works.

Thesis statement: Although a lot of people like downloading things without paying, I believe that the behavior of piracy must be severely restricted by law.

2. Why do so many people choose pirated software?

A. Not like an object, software is easy to copy and transfer.

B. There are still some difficulties in monitoring illegal downloading.

C. They don’t have to pay for that.

3. What’s the risk of using pirated software?

A. People will lose their creativity when they are accustomed to use pirated software

B. Quality of Spirit & Moral Standard will running down

C. Software companies may go to bankrupt so there are not that much good software will be invented.

D. Same result for the musical companies and the presses

Conclusion: So, in my opinion, the government should issue the law that prohibit the behavior of piracy, and severely punish people who infringe other’s copyright.
